Experiment and Plan
Description: In Module 2 coordinators will Experiment with ideas and Illustrate Implementation-Coordinator will demonstrate application of Module One by relating the information even more to the assigned space and experiment with a plan of action
When: At the beginning of planting, garden bed prep
Approximate Dates: Mid-April to the end of May
Important Dates in this Module:
First day of Spring:
April 12: F2F Meeting at the Agricultural Center
Lesson 1-Maps and Plans
Lesson 2-Timeline or Schedule
Create a Time-line for your garden as well as for your events and workdays
Lesson 3-Collaborate with your school
Collaborative Assessment: Having already received input from garden host at the school, create a written breakdown of coordinator responsibilities so that everyone is aware of who is doing what
Lesson 4- Forum Posts
SHARE plans and maps from Lesson 1, Timeline from Lesson 2, responsibilities list from Lesson 3 and maps in the appropriate online forum. Also bring them to the April meeting, even if they aren't completed, for sharing ideas and giving one another feedback.
Then, as always, take some time to review other’s posts, comment and discuss as you feel compelled.
Just a reminder, we aren't looking for forced interaction, but helping when you feel you have something to offer, asking questions when you find yourself stumped on things, allowing yourself to be honest about strengths and weaknesses will allow us all to learn something new from each other throughout the term!
As you move through the assignments, remember the ultimate goal is to be best prepared for your particular experience. Contact your supervisor to modify an assignment for your own needs.
