Why the effort?

Things to note before you begin: This lesson utilizes a really cool tool called TEDed videos which requires you to create a username and password.  This is partly because that's how their interface works, but also helps us keep track of your progress and view your insightful comments!  So, don't think of it as a hassle, think of it as, "wow. how cool!"
