Annie's Grants for Gardens
This grant is for public or charter schools looking to create a garden or expand an existing garden. The application period opened on August 1, 2018 and closes November 1, 2018. Decisions will be communicated by early January 2019.
ASAP’s Growing Minds Grants
This funding is open to pre-K through 12th grade teachers. Priority is given to Head Start or schools with a high % of students receiving free and reduced lunch. Funding is awarded twice a year. Deadlines are September 15th and March 15th.
High Country Local First School Grants
With every Local First card sold, $5 goes towards a grant fund of about ~ $1,500, awarded yearly. Applications will be open in the spring.
Captain Planet Grants
Captain Planet offers a variety of funding opportunities ranging from $500 to 2,500. Grants are awarded twice a year and the deadlines to apply are July 15th and January 15th.
NC Bright Ideas Grants
This grant is for K-12 educators with innovative ideas for creative learning projects. Funding ranges from a few hundred to $1,500. Deadline to apply is September 15th.
NC Ag. in the Classroom Grants
The proposal for this grant must be agriculturally based and align with the standards of Common Core. The grant of $500 is readily given out to those who have a clear purpose for their project and who properly fill out the grant. The deadline for submission is November 15th, 2018.
Whole Foods Kid Foundation Grants
Partnering with FoodCorps, Whole Food’s Garden Grant program awards grants of $2,000. The deadline to apply is October 15th.
Lowe's Toolbox for Education ® Grants
The deadline to apply is September 28th.
