Welcome! Cove Creek School campus is surrounded by beautiful meadows and farms and has offered an horticulture class to its middle school students for many years. As interest in gardening for education has recently grown tremendously and many teachers were eager to participate in school gardening efforts, it became clear that the school needed its own garden. Led by the EcoRaiders environmental club, and with the help of students, parents, teachers and many local businesses, the Cove Creek School and Community Garden was built during the Spring of 2017.

The "Cone Garden" was dedicated to Mr. Toby Cone, a beloved principal who enthusiastically supported the initiative (before he happily retired and took off on other adventures of his own). Through this page and the blog we will share our passion for gardening with you and updates of our school garden.

What's Growing?

Lots of things! We have strawberries, broccoli, kale, garlic, melons, pumpkins, tomatoes, sunflowers, carrots. The new garden is in full swing! For updates, read our garden blog. You can also see what's growing in each raised bed on the Garden Chart.
We always welcome helpers, so if you like gardening and have some time on your hands, please contact Marta Toran (martatoran@gmail.com).
