Produce harvested from our school gardens will be donated to those in need, sold to High Country Local First Restaurants, and marketed at school-based young entrepreneurial produce markets. |
![]() SUPPORT A GARDEN SMART EDUCATOR | $1000
Support a garden-based training that prepares teachers to teach Science, Math, Art, Reading, Writing, Responsibility, and Teamwork in an outdoor garden setting. Professional development trainings are one of the best ways to give teachers the tools they need to utilize school gardens in the most effective way. If used to their potential, school gardens have been shown to improve academic, nutrition, and attitude outcomes based on numerous research studies. (view past trainings and garden SMART events here) In addition to the other rewards, you will be recognized on the website, posters, and flyers for each of the four Farm to School Professional development workshops.
![]() The success of a school garden depends on a dedicated champion to plan, manage and care for the garden during the school year and over summer break. We believe in providing a "LettuceLove" stipend to the garden champion to ensure their dedication is partially compensated. Read about our current garden coordinator champions. |
